Lincoln
A historic property reworked into a true home, with more welcome, movement, and daily use, honoring its 1894 bones while making space for a young family’s daily rituals.

Honored with a Hinsdale Historical Preservation Award and featured on the Hinsdale Kitchen Walk, this home was transformed gradually over several years. What began with furnishings evolved into a full renovation and addition as the family settled into the house, learning how they wanted to live within it.
A reconfigured kitchen, breakfast room, lower-level mudroom, and dug-out basement were ultimately shaped around the family’s daily rhythm without losing the historic character that drew them there in the first place. Italian wallpaper, marble, rift white oak cabinetry, walnut accents, and dramatic lighting are woven together in harmony, creating a home that feels both deeply personal and wholly lived in.
